Dan Schwab

A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Dan Schwab came to D&H Distributing, a 100 year-old wholesale distribution company founded by his grandfather, after an initial career in the retail sector with Lord & Taylor in Manhattan, in 1995. He established the company’s education division, which grew 30-fold from a base of under $5M in revenues to $150M in less than six years, cementing D&H as the number one distributor to college bookstores. In 2001, he was promoted to vice president of marketing, and then to co-president of D&H along with his brother Michael Schwab in 2008. Over the years, he and the D&H management team have parlayed their collective experience into impressive annual growth with more than $3.6 billion in overall revenues for the company. D&H has since ranked in the top 125 America’s Largest Private Companies according to Forbes.
