Editor’s Note: This month, a familiar face reappeared at the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation. Darius Gardner was an intern with us last summer, and after completing his senior year of college, joined our team as our newest program coordinator. We’re excited to welcome him back! Here’s a little more about Darius in his own words.
Hello Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Family,
My name is Darius Gardner, originally from Houston, TX, but due to college I have been living in DC for the last three years attending American University. This spring, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion. While at American University, I was a part of the Men’s Basketball team there as well. Last summer, I was fortunate enough to intern with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation. My experiences with understanding the values and goals of the Foundation helped me with rejoining the Ripken Foundation family as a full-time employee. I expect to help the Foundation continue to grow and achieve the goals the best way I can.
