The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is back in Washington, DC for our annual dinner event on Wednesday, December 5, at the Four Seasons Georgetown. The event is titled “Ripkens Uncensored” and includes an intimate evening with former Baltimore Orioles players and brothers Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken. Join us to hear about historic moments of America’s favorite pastime and the Ripken family.
All event proceeds go to further the mission of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and our work with at-risk youth across the country. Last year, the Ripken Foundation was able to impact nearly 1,400,000 at-risk youth in 356 underserved communities in 43 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. To date, over 460,900 kids in 22 states and Washington, DC have access to 80 completed Youth Development Parks or turf fields that we have built and donated to local communities who need them the most giving kids clean and safe places to play and learn. And through the Ripken Foundation youth development programs, over 719 youth partners and law enforcement volunteers became the coaches and mentors.
