On Frinday, November 10, 2023 guests will enjoy an evening of bourbon tastings and culinary favorites from local restaurants with Hall of Famers Jonathan Ogden and Cal Ripken, Jr. This exclusive and limited ticket event will raise funds to directly benefit the work of both Cal Ripken, Jr. and Jonathan Ogden’s Foundations and the children they impact.
The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps to strengthen America’s most underserved and distressed communities by supporting and advocating for children, building Youth Development Parks, partnering with law enforcement and youth service agencies, and addressing community needs through its national program initiatives. Founded in 2001, the Foundation is led by former Major League Baseball players, Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken, and was named in memory of their father, Cal, Sr. The life lessons of leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, and a strong work ethic are keys to success for all young people, especially those living in disadvantaged circumstances.
The Jonathan Ogden Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt corporation established in 1996, whose mission is to help student-athletes take responsibility for their futures through lessons learned on the playing field, in the classroom and in service to others. We take a player’s dedication and passion for his or her game and their team and transform it into a catalyst for scholastic, community, and career development. The positive impact of the program has been remarkable-with grades, SAT scores, and graduation rates rising across the board.
