In 2018, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation completed its 82nd Youth Development Park. Over the last ten years, with the help of community-based organizations, schools, and local Parks & Recreation Departments, our fields, 17 of which are Adaptive Fields for children with special needs, are giving over 480,000 children access to our parks in 22 states and Washington, D.C.
Our multipurpose, low-maintenance, synthetic surface fields give underserved youth in high-risk communities a place to play in an organized, recreational, and well-managed setting. Kids with access to one of our Youth Development Parks have a safe, clean facility to play and engage with each other as well as invested mentors in their communities.
