Bob Fisch is involved in many roles including specialty apparel retailing, author, motivational speaker and philanthropist. He is recognized as a pioneering merchant for my bold and successful innovations in value priced, fast fashion retailing, mostly at rue21. Mr. Fisch was the Founder, Chairman, & CEO of rue21 and built a national network of 1200+ stores, with a Billion-dollar plus value. rue21 became the Number One specialty apparel retailer in store count in America.
Currently and for the past 5 years, Mr. Fisch is an active member of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Foundation Board where he works on fund raising for the FIT Graduate School in addition to launching the Bob Fisch Graduate School Award program. This program includes graduate school scholarships, thesis project grants, and awarding Entrepreneurial Excellence for the best business plan and design. His involvement helps lead to strong alumni development and funding at FIT.
In addition to donating to the school and students, Mr. Fisch's passion is giving back by mentoring and coaching being a presenter and guest lecturer. "I teach them business and they teach me life!"
In 2018, Mr. Fisch created a Millennial Advisory Board that ties in with his management practices and motivational skills that results in mutual mentoring relationships with Millennials, Gen Z and others in the workforce. These are a group of professionals from all different age groups that meet every month.
Tying in with his giving back, Mr. Fisch is a Forbes published author, with his book Fisch Tales- The Making Of a Millennial Baby Boomer and Get A Life-A Roadmap to Rule the World, which became an Amazon best seller.
Mr. Fisch looks to mentor and incentivize students and associates to exceed their expectations.
He have been a Board of Director of Ollies Bargain Outlet for 10 years, where he worked closely with Mark Butler and is now the present CEO and management. Mr. Fisch is also a member of the compensation committee and the Nomination and Governance Committee.
Previously, Mr. Fisch was a member of The Children's Place Board for approximately 10 years and held positions on the Comp Committee and Audit Committee.
Currently, He has been involved with fund raising for Union Square in New York City, being a major donator for key projects and an art installation.
Mr. Fisch is passionate about joining the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, using his connections and networking skills to contribute in a meaningful way supporting fund raising and foundation donation events.
