CRSF Camp 2: Welcoming kids from 6 states

Jun 11, 2013

In our first camp session, kids had the opportunity to improve their game, make new friends, push their limits, face their fear of heights, meet real life heroes from law enforcement and the military, and enjoy trying new things.

Today, as Rosina mentioned last week, we’re getting ready to welcome a new group of about 120 boys and girls from Arkansas, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas, who will get the chance to do the same--all while reinforcing the lessons they've learned through Healthy Choices, Healthy Children and Badges for Baseball.

We are especially grateful to our law enforcement coaches who will be joining us all week from the Montgomery County Police Department, US Marshals Service, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.  In addition, the kids will get to hear Ernie Graham’s powerful story and see exciting demonstrations from the Montgomery County Police Department.

We’ll be blogging every day this week, so keep checking back daily!  We will also be tweeting updates and pictures, so if that’s more your speed, get live updates on Twitter by following the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation program team or #CRSFCamp.
