#CRSFcamp: Highlights from August 14-18

Aug 18, 2016

Another excellent week of #CRSFcamp is in the books, thanks to an uncommon group of campers, mentors, and Badges for Baseball coaches from as close as Baltimore and as far away as Nicaragua!

We stayed in cabins on the Chesapeake Bay:

We learned, practiced, and played lots of baseball at the fields in Aberdeen:

Our Badges for Baseball partners taught us helpful skills, showed us their gear, and talked to us about what it means to protect and serve:

In addition, we had the honor of having some military veterans join us as coaches this week, which inspired our campers and our chaperones to push themselves to new heights…

Learn more about the 22 push-up challenge to honor those who serve and raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention.

We also had other inspiring speakers…

We made new friends and tried new things….

…and worked together with all kinds of teammates…

Overall, we had an amazing time!

Special thanks to our Badges for Baseball partners: US Marshals Service, Maryland National Guard, Montgomery County Police Department, Harford County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, Anne Arundel County Police Department, Baltimore City Police Department, US Department of Homeland Security, Laurel Police Department, Aberdeen Police Department, Prince George's County Police Department, Baltimore County Police Department, Maryland Transportation Authority Police, Baltimore Sheriff’s Office, and the Bel Air Police Department.
