We launched our online training portal in 2013 as a one-stop-shop for coaches, mentors, and youth program coordinators to find the tools and resources they need to help kids succeed in life. We have continued to add resources and there will be more to come this year, but we wanted to highlight a few that were added in 2014 that you might have missed if you’re new or if you haven’t visited in a little while:
- In 2014, we introduced the concept of uncommon into our programs. What does it mean to be uncommon?
- Recognizing that student-athletes are leaders among their peers, we also teamed up with Rachel’s Challenge to create the Uncommon Athlete program.
- Unsure of how kids with special needs can participate in your program? Check out the Healthy Choices, Healthy Children: Adaptive Sports Edition!
- When your kids ask, “Why try?” help them build the resilience to bounce back no matter what life throws at them. Check out the Healthy Choices, Healthy Children: Resilience Edition, created in partnership with WhyTry.
At the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, we strive to support the critical work you do with our nation’s kids. We will continue to provide you with the resources you need through the CRSF Portal. Check back here (Coaches Forum) weekly for updates!
