In Remembrance - September 11, 2001

Sep 11, 2017

Today marks 16 years since the tragic events unfolded in New York City, Arlington, Virginia, and Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania. All of us at the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation want to take this opportunity to remember those who lost and gave their lives that day. Our nation is forever scarred from the horrific terror attacks, but we are stronger due to the support from the people who make up the United States law enforcement, fire fighters, armed forces and military, and anyone serving to enhance public safety. We thank each and every person who dedicates their lives to the betterment of the community.

As we take this time to remember the events of September 11, 2001, we also want to take this time to send our well wishes to those who are recuperating from hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and those helping with the recovery. Disasters may physically tear communities apart, but coming through the adversity brings them together stronger than before. Our thoughts are with those affected by and helping with relief efforts in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and those still in Irma’s path.
