Where is Travis? Where to start?
Yesterday, he got back from a few days in LA, where he and other members of our team (Bobby, Chris, and Flynn) partnered with MLB RBI, the Dodgers, and the Angels to run youth baseball clinics as part MLB's annual Jackie Robinson Day.
Tomorrow, he making the long drive to Bridgeport, Connecticut, with Rosina. We'll be training our local partner coaches and mentors and then cutting the ribbon on our brand new Youth Development Park!
On Friday, we're taking some of our kids to enjoy a baseball game at Old Dominion University in Virginia! They'll get to play on the field before the game and ask the ODU baseball players all about college life!
Then off to Houston, Texas, the following week to train some Badges for Baseball program partners, thanks to the support of the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA).
Last month Rosina went on what I jokingly called her national tour, and now it's Travis's turn. So it goes as the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation strives to reach as many kids as we can across the country. So he's taking a little break from blogging, but you can get all our pictures and updates from the road by following us on Twitter!
Me? I'll mostly be holding down the fort in the office, working on some new Healthy Choices, Healthy Children materials to help you guide kids in making smart choices in all areas of life. So stay tuned....
