Hello everyone! My name is Joe Rossow, and I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to joining the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, I served as the principal of Michael Dowling Urban E-STEAM Magnet School located in Minneapolis, MN. During my tenure, the Dowling School secured over $300,000 in donations to redesign the existing playground, making it 100 percent accessible to all students. I was pivotal in revitalizing the Environmental Education program and E-STEAM to include programs and activities that helped students learn through experiential means. This transformed the Dowling School into one of the top performing magnet schools in Minneapolis. Here at the Foundation, I oversee all program operations in the administrative, financial, and human resources departments. It is an amazing opportunity to be a part of such a respected national organization that allows me to pair my passion for education with helping underprivileged youth across the country. I am looking forward to exploring new avenues to increase our reach and creating opportunities for kids to succeed no matter their circumstances.
