The Ripken Foundation partnered with the City of Tampa Parks & Recreation to host a Badges for Baseball multi-sport clinic for local Tampa youth at the NFL Y.E.T. Center. Attending youth participated in different sports stations, like soccer and baseball, joined by volunteers from Tampa Fire Rescue, Tampa Police Department, Tampa Bay Rays, and Tampa Bay Rowdies. The kids also enjoyed presentations from their local law enforcement officers, including a chance to interacted with the mounted officers' horses. This clinic is part of the Ripken Foundation's signature program created in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice, pairing at-risk youth with law enforcement mentors from local communities who use team sports to teach valuable life lessons.
