Ripken Foundation Opens More STEM Centers in Texas

Jan 21, 2022

The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation has opened a STEM Center at the Boys & Girls Club of DeWitt County in Cuero, TX. Through our STEM initiative, we partner with local schools in need of STEM activities, STEM curriculum, training, and equipment. These mobile STEM Centers can fit into any space and Ripken Foundation staff, as well as professional experts in STEM, train teachers/mentors to deliver our custom-designed elementary and middle school STEM curriculum that is based on Next Generation Science Standards. Each CRSF STEM Center is equipped with age-appropriate learning tools and activity kits that engage at-risk youth in a weekly STEM program throughout the year. Our goal is to develop new and relevant ways to help kids gain access to the necessary tools and resources that they need to succeed academically in STEM subjects.
