The Ripken Foundation teamed up with Devon Energy to provide At-Home STEM kits to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at Jal Elementary in New Mexico. According to Betty Robinson, Jal Elementary School Principal, “At this time in education, we’re having a very hard time with students doing things hands-on, and we know that children learn best that way.” These kits are a part of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation’s STEM initiative to provide engaging and stimulating activities for kids to use in their own homes. Educational STEM Kits reinforce and expand upon science, technology, engineering, and math lessons from the classroom in a fun and captivating way.
