We hosted our 3rd Annual Ripken Foundation STEM Competition where kids from five STEM Centers across the country participated in the competition sponsored by Battelle. Teams were challenged to design a prosthetic hand for a patient who had their left hand amputated just above the wrist. Each team came up with a STEM-based solution that ensured the patient would be able to pick-up and hold an 8 oz. glass of water with their prosthetic hand. The Melrose School from Harrisburg, PA was this year's winner.
