Ball Fields and Bright Futures

Learning, laughing, growing, connecting—amazing things happen every day at Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Youth Development Parks.

Across the country, we team up with communities and organizations to build safe places for at-risk youth. Our team helps to raise funding, design, and build three kinds of synthetic turf, low-maintenance facilities:

  • Regulation-size, youth, and collegiate-level baseball fields
  • Multipurpose parks, with baseball and large general-use fields
  • Adaptive fields especially for those kids special needs

To date, over 550,000 at-risk youth have access to recreational, educational, and athletic experiences at one of our 118 Youth Development Parks in 26 states and Washington, D.C. These new fields inspire a renewed sense of community pride, prompting neighbors to maintain their park’s integrity, and even refurbish other spaces.

Our work doesn’t end on opening day. We help our youth partners realize the true potential of their parks with our character-building programs, life skills curriculum, and clinics proven to enhance young lives. Plus, we’re an ongoing source for discounted equipment and apparel.
