Having good balance and good core strength is very important for developing a healthy body. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities, such as swing a baseball bat, getting a jar from the top shelf and even bending down to tie your shoes! Today’s #RipkenPlaybook is a balance challenge that will test our your core strength!
1. Standing on one leg you are going to balance yourself for as long as you can without letting your other foot touch the ground.
2. The key is to see how long you can go while using a timer to time yourself.
3. After you time one leg, make sure to do your opposite leg to see how long you can go on the leg as well.
*Helpful tip for anyone who hasn’t done this before, stick your arms out as if you were and airplane to help yourself stay centered and balanced and you will for sure rock this challenge*
