The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County had their first in-person Badges for Baseball session at their Bolch Campus in Immokalee, Florida with mentor Lieutenant Greg Bueno, a member of the Florida Highway Patrol. Bueno brought coloring books and Florida Highway Patrol sunglasses to enhance the outdoor experience. “The more connections police officers can make with communities, the better we are for the future,” says Bueno. The Ripken Foundation appreciates our program partners and mentors that continue to live out our mission. “It’s a chance to get to know each other better, which is so important in today’s age. We’re there to help and be role models and mentors,” noted Bueno.
