The Ripken Foundation is collaborating with the Hearne School District to build a brand new Youth Development Park at Hearne High School in Texas. The field will include a multipurpose turf football/soccer field and track for students to enjoy. This new state-of-the-art Youth Development Park will host practices, games, and meets for Hearne High School students year-round, as well as other regional tournament s and community events. This field will provide a place for safe, positive, and healthy afterschool activities which foster social, educational, and recreational interactions between at-risk youth and caring adult mentors and coaches. Through youth sports and enrichment programs, we will encourage healthy physical activity and provide mentorship opportunities.
